The Santa Barbara County Veterans Collaborative (“the Collaborative,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
- Membership & contact requests. When you submit our Join Us form or contact us, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, phone number, email address, and any organization details you choose to share.
- Donations. Donations are processed by PayPal. We do not collect or store your credit card or bank account numbers; that information is handled directly by PayPal under its own privacy policy.
- Email communications. If you join our mailing list, your contact information is stored in our email platform (Mailchimp) so we can send updates about the Collaborative and local veteran events.
- Basic website data. Like most websites, our host may log standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not use advertising trackers.
How We Use Your Information
- To review membership requests and, once approved, to list participating organizations in our Member Directory.
- To respond to your inquiries and keep members informed about meetings, events, and resources.
- To process and acknowledge donations.
How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Collaborative — for example, with PayPal to process a donation, or with Mailchimp to deliver email you have subscribed to. Organization listings in the Member Directory are published only with the organization’s participation and may be visible to the public.
Your Choices
You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message. You may also request that we update or remove your information by emailing [email protected].
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information submitted through this site, including secure (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Children
This website is intended for adults and organizations; it is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
